A smiling woman with short dark hair, wearing a gray cardigan over a white top, sits in a well-lit room with a lamp and framed artwork. Cindy comes to Thompson Dove Law Group with over 15 years of experience in child services. She began volunteering at the Spartanburg Children’s Shelter (now the Hope Center for Children) in 2005, after realizing that she wanted help children who were experiencing a variety of instabilities in their lives. Furthering her desire to advocate for children, Cindy became a volunteer Guardian ad Litem in 2006.

In 2008, Cindy became a foster care caseworker with the Spartanburg County Department of Social Services. Before leaving DSS in 2021, Cindy was the Program Coordinator for the After-Hours Program in Spartanburg and Cherokee counties, where she oversaw active investigations of abuse and neglect allegations.

Having an interest in the laws that affect children, Cindy is excited to use her knowledge of the child welfare system in assisting clients of Thompson Dove Law Group.
