Brenda Wagner

Originally from Ohio, Brenda and her husband came to Beaufort in 1980 by way of her husband’s career with the United States Marine Corp. Brenda began working with Rick Corley in 1981 at the Harvey & Battey law firm. When Rick decided to open his own law practice, Brenda happily joined him, and hopes that she gave him the encouragement he needed to focus his practice in the field of adoption.

During her 40 year career with Rick, Brenda has worked with families, not only in South Carolina, but across the country. She is also thankful for the opportunity to play a role in the finalizations of adoption for LGBTQ+ families, noting that it has been a highlight of her work! She is excited to join Thompson Dove Law Group to continue managing the Beaufort office.

Outside of work, Brenda and her husband love to travel and spend time with their grandchildren. She is also an avid quilter!
